Why Do Teens Have to Live Under Some Many Rules?

To keep safe and alive it might to you some good to follow some basic rules like staying out of traffic or avoiding hungry lions. Most of us would agree rules like these are needed because they actually make sense. However there are a lot of rules that kids in school really think are wrong. 

I interviewed some people in my class about rules and they think that most rules are just pure doo-doo.

 Here are some examples of their least favorite rules…

"I am not allowed to eat gum in Spanish class" say 11 year olds 6th  graders Lena and Nomi

 "I can't text unless I have good grades" complains 11 year old Dannie .

 "I have to do chores everyday " Naomi says. She also adds, "The worst  rule ever is that I have to keep my room clean. I mean it's my room.”

"Having to eat dinner before  dessert"  Helen Gardner  12yrs old, 6th grader.

Basically a lot of rules are not so great while on the other hand many keep us safe. Go figure!
