You’ve met the chica of your dreams – she’s gorgeous – she’s red hot, sexy, everything you want. You walk past her every day in school. She even sits beside you in class.
There’s only one problema – she doesn’t know you exist. If you are lucky, she might manage a giggle in your direction. She’s definitely not interested in being your amiga, or anything more than that. After she laughs at you, she goes over to talk to older boys.
A girl who’s 13 feels grown up. When she looks in the mirror, she sees a young mujer. When she looks at a 13-year-old guy she sees a boy, when she looks at a 16-year-old, she sees a young hombre.
This can seem like a big problem but it’s not impossible to solve. You are going to have to convince the chica you like that you are not a kid.
What to do
1. Be yourself. Honesty is good.
2. Be interested in the same sort of things as her. If you are really into libros, go to the library so she can see you. If you are really into deportes, let her see your training.
3. Get used to being friends. A good friendship can be a good stepping stone to later become bf/gf.
4. Realize real girls are not like the girls in a rap video. They’re putting on an act.
5. And go easy on the cologne; if she can smell you coming she’ll start running.
What NOTto do
1. Don’t dress like your dad unless you want to attract someone like your mom.
2. Don’t try to be someone you are not. There’s no point pretending to be different just for her.
3. Don’t start smoking, drinking or doing drugs. It’s a bad idea and a turn-off.
4. Don’t follow her around like a lost puppy hoping she takes pity on you. She’ll probably call the pound.
