One of the all-time greatest teen movies, this classic 80s flick will keep you laughing.
Ever wondered what your parents were like in high school? Were they cool or were they nerdy? In 1985’s “Back to the Future,” high school student Marty McFly (played by Michael J. Fox) finds out. Caring only about playing guitar and hanging out with his girlfriend, Marty accidentally gets teleported by his mad scientist friend Doc back to his parents’ old high school in the year 1955. By mistake he ends up disrupting their fi rst meeting and breaks a chain of events that was supposed to lead to his own birth. Now it is up to Marty to somehow get his parents to meet, kiss, and fall in love, or else he will never be born!
Rated PG, this fun movie was a big success in the 80s and was a major hit for actor Michael J. Fox. Funny scenes abound with the same bald principal in both time periods and stereotypical bullies uttering the same oafish lines you probably hear in your own school halls. Humorously comparing the differences between generations, “Back to the Future” shows us that although clothes, music, and lingo change over time, the basic high school experience does not. Kids get picked on, boys ride skateboards, and parents embarrass their kids. One of the all-time greatest teen movies, this classic 80s flick will keep you laughing.
